Marianne Wilcox

Enterprise Architect, Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS)

Marianne WilcoxMarianne Wilcox has had a long and notable career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS). She is an effective communicator with the proven ability to establish highly productive and effective relationships with CIOs and CEOs.
Her experience has been in support of numerous clients and spans multiple industry sectors including IT services, manufacturing, transportation, financial services, retail, health care and government.

Marianne is currently performing the role of CTO for one of EDS’ financial services insurance clients, enabling EDS to pursue new business opportunities. From 1998-2005, Marianne served as the Chief Technologist for EDS’ Application Delivery Organization; during that time she was the only woman serving in the CTO capacity across the company. In 2006, she received EDS’ Distinguished Engineering Award. She serves as a formal mentor and leader in the company’s Technical Leaders Communities, and for several years chaired the EDS Global Architect Review Board that selects qualified candidates to become system and enterprise architects.

Marianne has served as a mentor both in and outside of EDS. Marianne is on the EDS Education Outreach Program Advisory Council and Steering Committees for the Rochester City School District’s Monroe High School. At the college level,
Marianne has served as a mentor for e-commerce graduate students at the University of Buffalo. She was a member of Women@EDS, an organization that helps foster careers and well being for women at EDS.

In addition to her long time work with the City School District, Marianne has made a sustained contribution to the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA),
a national 501(c)(3), non-profit organization dedicated to patient advocacy and the pursuit of scientific research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia.

Marianne has served on the Industry Advisory Board at RIT’s Department of Software Engineering since 2003. Since 2005, Marianne has been a judge for the National Science Foundation’s Annual Christopher Columbus Awards that aregiven to reward middle school student’s innovation in science and technology.
