IT Woman of the Year Nominee:

Sandra Roberts

Senior VP of IT,
Canandaigua National Bank and Trust, Co.

 

Sandra Roberts Since joining Canandaigua National Bank & Trust (CNB) in 1984, Sandy has risen from an IT department summer intern to the Senior Vice President, Information Technology in January of 2005.  Her current role makes her responsible for the technology and systems that support the billion dollar institution with over 300 employees and twenty locations through Monroe and Ontario counties.

Over the course of her time with CNB, Sandra has led efforts to bring additional services and channels to online banking as Chairperson for Northeast Open Solutions Inc. (OSI) ECB User group.  She has been involved with several leading edge transformations of financial services including ATM efforts, PC & voice banking, and a conversion from mainframe to open database system which made CNB a leader in Check 21 adoption.  Check 21 allows banks to transmit images

Most recently Sandy has been responsible for the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance which covers every aspect of technology deployment throughout the bank. 

At CNB she serves on several key committees including Project Steering, Strategic Planning and Information Security Executive committees. Member of the Wausau User Group

She has been published in numerous technical publications and has presented at conferences on various IT subjects.
 
Sandra is also active in supporting the community.  She has been a member of the Canandaigua Hockey, Baseball, Softball and Tennis Boosters, holding various board level positions.   She has been a board member for the Canandaigua Knights Hockey and was involved in a Parent Education Program to promotes sportsmanship, on and off the ice.  She is on the Board for Countryside Child Care, on her church Social Committee, a member of the Bristol Historical Society and Jaycees.
